The Rock Jacket
By Vollebak

Thousands of five millimeter squares of slate, laser cut and set on neoprene so the stone actually bends with you. There is exactly one, and it goes to the highest bidder! Bids from $50,000.
Vollebak calls it a proof of concept: the flexible marquetry behind their Wooden Jacket, pushed all the way into stone. It takes around fifty steps to make, and every square has to be cut true or the jacket stops moving like cloth.
