The Dinner Party: A Printable Hosting Kit

The whole point of having people over is being there when they arrive. This kit gets you to seven o'clock calm.

Re-set in worn press type on honest, grainy paper, so the kit on your fridge looks like it came from a letterpress studio, not a laser printer.

• The Cook-Backward Timeline: from the week before to T-minus-10, when the host pours a glass of something. At 7:00, you're a guest at your own table.
• The Menu page: courses written down like a promise, plus Guest Math: wine, ice, apps, and coffee quantities solved
• The Room: light and sound rules (overheads off, everywhere), the small kindnesses, and The Host's Five: the five things hosts always forget
• Place cards: cut-and-fold tents, six to a page, print as many as the table holds
• The Twenty-Minute Rule: our house philosophy, in writing

Instant digital download: a 4-page US Letter PDF with tappable checkboxes. Nothing ships. For personal use.
