A little corked jar of safety matches, the sticks stained a warm orange and every one dipped in black. It is the kind of thing that turns a throwaway into something worth leaving out: set it beside a favorite candle, on the mantel, or next to the lantern at camp, and you will never go hunting for a matchbook again.
Made by Chandler Studio. The jar arrives filled and ready, with a strike pad on the bottom, so lighting up is one easy motion. The orange and black together is just handsome.
20 matches per jar. Clear glass with a natural cork stopper, about 2.75 inches tall.
